By signing up to the Planning Consultation Database, you’ll receive updates and opportunities to comment on key issues - from minerals and waste management to major infrastructure projects like roads and »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ.
Once registered, you'll be kept informed and invited to take part in shaping policies that directly affect your community.
Councillor Alan Amos, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Business and Skills, said: “Good planning is about more than buildings – it’s about creating places where people want to live, work, and thrive. We want to hear from residents, community groups, and businesses to help shape policies that reflect local priorities. Signing up to our consultation database is a simple way to stay involved and influence how »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ grows.â€
Councillor Ian Cresswell, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Environment and Communities, added: “Strategic planning plays a vital role in supporting sustainable communities. By taking part in these consultations, people can help us make informed, balanced decisions for »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµâ€™s future - from how we use land to how we protect our environment.â€
You can choose to be consulted on topics including environmental policy, minerals planning policy, planning application procedures, planning policy and strategy, and waste planning policy. Further details on these topics are available on the County Council website.
