Voting is now open for people to help crown »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµâ€™s Festival & Event of the Year, as part of the prestigious Visit »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ Tourism Awards.

Nine of the county’s most celebrated events have been shortlisted, showcasing the diverse experiences on offer across »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ.

From historical re-enactments to comedy festivals, charity art trails to festive favourites, each finalist has been recognised for delivering an outstanding visitor experience.

Councillor Alan Amos, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Business and Skills at »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ County Council, said: “These events, whether run by local volunteers or organised on a larger scale, bring people together and play an important role in attracting visitors to »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ. It’s a wonderful opportunity for everyone to show their support and appreciation for the organisers who work so hard to make these experiences enjoyable for us all.â€

  • The Great Waddle of Worcester
  • The Rik Mayall Comedy Festival
  • Worcester Cathedral Christmas Tree Festival
  • Worcester Film Festival

The public can now vote for their favourite event by casting one vote per person via

Voting closes on 30 September and the winner will be announced at the annual Visit »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ Tourism Awards in March 2026.

Finalists for the remaining categories are set to be announced later this summer, after the first round of judging is complete.
